About Us

Jeff has been working with exchange students since 1984. He started as an English teacher in an educational program, then as a coordinator and area coordinator for Maryland. He then became the director for the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and East Coast for various organizations. In 1995, he formed Global Friendships from a desire to create a small, local, more personal organization. Jeff lives in Finksburg, MD.

Elisa is a Spanish teacher with Baltimore County Public Schools. She has coordinated the Global Friendships program in Harford County for three of the ten years it has operated here. She loves organizing a fun filled month for the visiting students and host families. She lives in Havre de Grace, MD.
